IF You Can't Dance to This CD, You're Dead

Hey Warner,

Just listened to "Dixie Vibrations" again. I gotta tell ya - that cd is smokin'! The songs are great, the vocals are great, and the instrumentation is great. I dug it from beginning to end and there's some things on "D.V." that are extremely cool. DIXIEBILLY is groovin' and that dobro is hot. The horns on BRING YOUR OWN BLUES made me feel like I was either on Beale Street in Memphis or in New Orleans on Bourbon Street. In NO HALFWAY LOVING YOU - "I know if I should lose there'll be no halfway blues" - what a line, man! FEW SWEET THINKS is tight and your vocals are burnin'. On AT YOUR SERVICE BABY that sax is 'blowin' like a hurricane', as Chuck Berry would say. MY HEARTS DESIRE is beautiful. I don't know what to say about MISSISSIPPI ON MY MIND except I'm ready to leave and head on down.

Let me put it this way: if ya can't dance to that cd, you're dead!

Keep coppin' that groove, man.
